The Recruiter recruits, interviews and screens job candidates to fill existing and future job openings through sourcing efforts, community networking, competitive talent shopping, referral networks, visits to college campuses, consultation with personnel agencies and contracts within the larger community.  Partners with hiring managers to understand requirements and delivers qualified and diverse candidates to consider.

 

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Meets with hiring managers to understand business objectives and candidate requirements.
  • Assists hiring managers through all processes related to the recruiting and selection process
  • Proactively researches and investigates innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Screens all candidates for availability, interest level, salary requirements, relocation needs and basic qualifications.
  • Sources active candidates through networking, cold calling, and Internet research.  Contacts community job placement services, private personnel agencies and colleges to set up interviews with job counselors for prospective job candidates.
  • Monitors interviewing, testing and hiring processes to ensure adherence with all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements.
  • Monitors costs related to the recruiting/selection effort; insures adherence to budget limits.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Maintains necessary documentation related to recruiting efforts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 1-2 years of recruiting and staffing experience.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.

  • Ability to persuade and influence decision makers.
